When 2 Schools become 1

Ok people. I know that we are all registered to vote...but voting is not the only thing we can do. Let's pull our heads together and think of something. ....like thinking outside the box. November's election is part of the solution to a major problem but let's not just stop there. Give up some suggestions....

yes e pray and then the answer is there but what is it....HE gives you the resources to use. We are not doing our part to utilized them as a team effort. Most people are out for self. I am just trying to get people to move and act not react.

I understand that gas in almost impossible to find there in the Aye Tee Ale. :) I don't think that boycotting oil companies (and therefore gas stations) would be a viable solution. Realistically speaking, everyone cannot work from home. However, are people being held accountable if they can't get to work? Probably so. Doesn't Sylloris have a law background these days? Perhaps this is something that she can weigh in on.

ok. That is spirit I am talking about. Yes and no...people are being held and not held accountable. Look at this. There are CEOs that are making companies go under so that in the end, their severance package can be saved. Once everthing cools down, we foot the bill? and being kicked out of our homes at the same time? What sense does that make? I mean, come on. We all have to come toge4ther at some point, across racial lines, property lines, all of that. We talk about stuff at the gas pump...but we still accept it. We know it is not right and it numbs us but we accept it eventually. The housing market, the stock market, hell, the supermarket. What was so harmful in speaking up. I work in customer service and I deal with people all day saying what they don't want...but they go right on and accept it, eventually. We have the power to do more...as a collective unit...but everyone has to get on and stay with....not jump just because and only have a loud bark and not a bite at all.
Yes, I am passionate about this. And yes, I am tired of being tired.

what about everything else....not just gas.

That is wonderful...and I checked. Nothing near me. I am not just talking about gas...but it is a domino effect. Look a the dow and the s and p...look also at the mtgs and foreclosures. The more I see it and think about it and really think about it...the ball is in our court. We are not utilizing what we have to get what we want. I am not talking of boycotts...it goes beyond that.

Well, you have to look at everything in biblical terms.
Not sure if anyone has seen the movie, the 7th Sign, but it seems to be having the same dialogue. When you violate one, the next will follow.
All that can be done now is making sure you have your life together and that you love the Lord.
Not to sound sad, but so many laws are being broken. And we are given SO MANY warnings.

you are absolutely correct. No, I have not seen that movie but I will check it out.

Everytime I turn the news on another company goes under or is bought out! My mortgage company is now my bank! What about the billion dollar a month price tag that's on the war?? People are losing their jobs everyday! Even government is on a hiring freeze with no raises expected for next year. We need to put someone in office who will stop the bleeding... as for the gas prices we still have to recover from the recent hurricanes that hit the gulf coast and that's going to take another week or two. I resolved within myself that I will walk to places 2 miles or less from the house. I need the exercise anyway!!

That is what I am talking about. Getting into the spirit and addressing all of these issues. Girl, the bleeding...we are going into shock! We are losing too much blood.

I am a victim of this problem..... I am a registered and active voter. However, We have to remember there is nothing that can solve these problems in four years. And this 700 billion dollar bailout package is going to hurt more than either presidential candidate or congress are willing to admit. I want everyone to understand that to solve these problems.....we have to start with ourselves. Always start with the "man in the mirror". Start by raising our kids to be conscience of the enviroment, the community, and themselves. Start with carpooling or taking Marta. Only buy what you NEED.....( don't get the four bedroom, 4 bath if you only need two ). Leave the Hummer on the lot and get the Focus. And please, stop buying Rims, Diamonds, and Platnum, try making the economy stronger with stocks, bonds, or simply investing in your family. And please remember, you cant just go and vote for the president every 4 years....to really have a voice you have to vote at the local levels to make sure your representatives are speaking for you and not making "life-long friends" (Congressman John Lewis about "the Clintons").
